On April 25, the Institute of Environment and Resources of the China Environmental Protection Federation, initiated by the China Environmental Protection Federation and the China University of Petroleum (East China), was established in Dongying, Shandong Province.

On the morning of the 25th, the founding meeting of the Institute of Environment and Resources of the China Environmental Protection Federation was held. More than 300 people, including Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress and Honorary Chairman of the China Environmental Protection Federation, relevant leaders of Shandong Province and Dongying City, Shan Honghong, President of China University of Petroleum (East China), Sun Haifeng, Vice President, head of the China Environmental Protection Federation, relevant experts, scholars and enterprise representatives, attended the conference.
