Recently, Panasonic announced that Sanyo Electric will be transformed into a wholly-owned subsidiary, and said that some strong products of Sanyo brand, including batteries, will still retain Sanyo brand. So far, Panasonic has six business systems, including AVC network, household appliances, components, Panasonic electricians, other business fields and Sanyo Electric. Sanyo officials said that Sanyo would devote itself to the development of new energy in the future. In the Green Energy Industrial Park in Hyogo, Japan, it has introduced HIT solar cell 1MW power generation system with high conversion efficiency, super large scale lithium battery 1.5MWh power storage system, energy management system (EMS) for controlling various energy-saving equipment, and building power distribution, computer and LED lighting facilities powered by DC. At the end of March 2011, Sanyo white household appliances will stop production. After 2012, Sanyo products will be gradually integrated into the Panasonic brand. In terms of new energy such as solar cells, Sanyo still retains its brand. In terms of new energy industry, Sanyo strives to make solar cells the top three in the world in 2015, secondary batteries the first in the world, and hybrid power to have 40% of the global market share in 2020. |
