In recent years, Yantai Municipal Party Committee and Government of Shandong Province have attached great importance to the development of new energy industry, taking the development of new energy industry as an important starting point for building a peninsula blue economic zone. During the "Twelfth Five Year Plan" period, Yantai will optimize the industrial development environment and accelerate the pace of new energy development in terms of wind power, photovoltaic and biomass energy, solar energy and nuclear power industries. It is planned that the installed capacity of new energy power generation in the city will exceed 5.6 million kilowatts by 2015.

In recent years, Yantai's new energy industry has made great progress. By the end of November, the total installed capacity of new energy in the city had reached 428200 kilowatts. In order to further enhance the support of the new energy industry, Yantai has issued a series of policy support, initially proposing a series of incentive policies and measures in the establishment of policy guidance funds, increasing credit investment, implementing major technical equipment research and development and industrialization demonstration, implementing project land use indicators, industrial investment promotion and other aspects. During the "Twelfth Five Year Plan" period, we will give full play to our industrial advantages, expand and strengthen the solar energy industry, accelerate the construction of wind power projects, vigorously develop photovoltaic and biomass energy utilization industries, and strive to develop the nuclear power industry.

In terms of solar energy utilization, Yantai has issued a notice requiring that new (renovated or expanded) residential buildings under 12 floors in urban planning areas above the county level must use solar water heaters. For buildings above 12 floors, solar water heaters account for more than 50% of the total households; In terms of photovoltaic equipment, we will focus on developing amorphous silicon thin film solar cell modules. At the same time, we will extend the industrial chain around solar photothermal and photovoltaic industries, accelerate the promotion of mature and applicable solar thermal products, and timely build solar photovoltaic power generation projects to achieve coordinated development of solar thermal and photovoltaic industries; In terms of wind power project construction, accelerate the project approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, vigorously promote the planning and pre feasibility study of offshore wind power projects in Laizhou and Changdao, strive to achieve new breakthroughs in offshore wind power projects, encourage and focus on supporting 1-2 enterprises to actively introduce advanced wind power equipment manufacturing technology, focus on the development of large capacity wind turbine units and supporting equipment above 1.5 MW, and strictly restrict low-level repetitive construction of wind power equipment, Improve the level of wind power equipment manufacturing industry.

In terms of improving the comprehensive utilization of biomass energy, Qixia Tianli biomass energy power generation project will be put into operation next year. In order to accelerate the development of nuclear power industry, Yantai will actively promote the Haiyang nuclear power project during the "12th Five Year Plan" period to ensure that the first unit will be put into operation in 2014 and the second unit will be connected to the grid for power generation in 2015. At the same time, we will accelerate the construction of industrial supporting parks, lengthen the nuclear power industry chain, expand the industrial scale, and accelerate the construction of nuclear power equipment manufacturing R&D service bases, making greater contributions to the sound and rapid development of the new energy industry in the city.
